Runners from more than 60 different countries are going to come in May to the Canarian race
The Transvulcania Naviera Armas 2018 has established a new record of participants after completing last week all available places, with more than one month left until the beginning of the race. The Transvulcania Naviera Armas will count with the presence of 3.600 runners, arrived from more than 60 different countries, which are going to compete at the different modalities of the race.
The sports counsellor of La Palma, Ascensión Rodríguez, was grateful for the deposited confidence of everyone for this special edition of the Transvulcania Space Runners. She added that “the whole team of the Transvulcania has been working very hard for achieving all goals established at the beginning of this year’s race. So we are trying to make a very special and spectacular edition of the Transvulcania, putting on a show in order to make everyone enjoy the experience here at the Transvulcania 2018”.
The Vertical Kilometre Binter is going to take place the 10th of May, with 200 confirmed runners. The 12th of May is the date for the rest of modalities. The Ultramarathon Naviera Armas will count with 2.000 participants, the Marathon H10 Hotels will host 800 runners and last but not least, the Half Marathon is going to have 600 athletes running it.
A few days ago, the new modality of the Transvulcania, the Transvulcania Kids-Junior Obra Social La Caixa, opened its registration-period. It will take place the 11th of May and it is going to be made for young runners who want to initiate themselves at the world of mountain-races.
