The Peruvian runner Remigio Huamán Quispe has confirmed his presence in the 9th edition of Transvulcania. The Ibero-American sporty repeats in the Ultramarathon, where the runner got the 7th position. Recently, Huamán won El Cruce Columbia race.
The Sports and Youth Counsellor of the La Palma Island Council, Ascensión Rodríguez, expresses her gratitude for Huamán´s return and highlights that this edition is the most unpredictable for the level of the runners.
Remigio Huamán has won the Ultra Yumax 80K, the second and the third place at the Wings for Life World Run (in 2014 y 2015) and the first place in The North Face Endurance Challengue and the Desert Challenge Paracas. At the Ultra Pirineu in 2015, he kept rhythm of popular runners as Kilian Jornet or Miguel Heras.
His last victory was El Cruce de Columbia, one of the most difficult race in the world. It has 100 kilometers, divided in three periods through The Andes.
